چکیده

A Mobile Ad Hoc Network (MANET) is an autonomous network that can be formed without any established infrastructure. It consists of mobile nodes equipped with a wireless interface that are free to move and establish communication on the fly. The mobile nodes act as hosts and routers, having routing capabilities for multi-hop paths connecting nodes which cannot directly communicate. Wireless Communication technology is exploring at very fast rate which lead to the increase in demand of infrastructure with such demand it is very difficult to have that much of fixed infrastructure. Routing is the prime concerns in Manet network as there are many dependency while choosing appropriate protocol for routing. OLSR and TORA are two most popular and hugely used protocols in Manet network. These two are different in their behavior as OLSR is a proactive protocol and TORA is a Reactive protocol. These two widely used protocols are compatable with new version of internet known as Ipv6. In our research we have done comparative analysis for these two protocols under Interenet Protocol version 6 so that the issues and analysis for both can be analyzed.

Comparative Performance Analysis of AODV,DSR, TORA and OLSR Routing Protocols in MANET Using OPNET

Mobile Ad Hoc Networks (MANETs) are receiving a significant interest and are becoming very popular in the world of wireless networks and telecommunication. MANETs consist of mobile nodes which can communicate with each other without any infrastructure or centralized administration. In MANETs, the movement of nodes is unpredictable and complex; thus making the routing of the packets challenging....

Frequency Hopping Based Performance Evaluation of TORA and OLSR Routing Protocols Using OPNET

In this paper analysis and performance of OLSR and TORA routing protocols is done. We used OPNET Simulation tool we created a network containing 50 mobile nodes with data rate 1 Mbps and 2 Mbps with transmission power 0.005 watts and buffer size 256000 bits each node moves randomly in the network and simulation time was 1500 sec. TORA and OLSR routing protocols were compared in terms of Traffic...

Relative Investigation of Olsr, Tora and Grp Routing Protocol Using Opnet

A MANET network is a group of sensor nodes with wireless communication competency. Each node acts as router in the network. There are a number of issues which affect the reliability of Ad-hoc networks and limit their viability for different scenarios; lack of centralized structure within MANET requires that each individual node must act as a router and is responsible for performing packet routi...
